Just in Case…

I’m just going to leave this here. Just in case you need a little something to get through…

Bumble Margarita
1 1/2 ounces Herradura Reposado tequila
1 ounce Grand Marnier
1 1/2 ounces Honey Syrup
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
ice cubes for shaking and serving
fresh mint sprig and lime wedge, for garnish

Combine all ingredients except garnish in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.  Shake until well chilled, about 10 seconds, and strain into a chilled Tom Collins glass filled with ice. Garnish with mint sprig and lime wedge.

Makes 1 cocktail

Honey Syrup
Honey dissolves wonderfully in hot tea, but not so well in cold liquids, hence this 1:1 ratio of honey and water which allows cocktails to blend well.  This recipe can easily be doubled for a large batch of cocktails or reduced by half for just a couple of libations.

1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup water

Bring honey and water to a simmer in a small saucepan.  Give it a stir to make sure the honey is dissolved and remove from heat.  Cool and then store in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Makes 1 cup
