Orange and Cilantro Red Cabbage Slaw

This slaw is also good on top of the Turkey burgers with mayonnaise and tomato.

Orange and Cilantro Red Cabbage Slaw 

6 cups red cabbage, shredded
1/3 cup fresh orange juice
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup cilantro, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Toss everything in a medium sized bowl and let marinate for at least 1/2 hour.

Serves 4-6

    This looks great! I make a spicy slaw with purple/napa cabbage, pine nuts, sesame seeds, chili oil (from the Oriental market) olive oil, soy sauce and brown sugar. It is more of warm slaw as the pine nuts and sesame seeds are toasted quickly and the chopped cabbage gets tossed in for a few minutes to slightly wilt but still have some crunch.
